Easy DVD Burning

WMV or Windows Media Video is developed and controlled by Microsoft. Converting DVD to .WMV format will let you enjoy watching your DVD movie using your Pocket PC, Xbox 360, Creative Zen, Zune or any other player that supports .WMV files.

In this guide I’m going to walk you through on how to easily convert your favorite DVD to WMV format. But before you can do that you will need three basic requirements to get the job done.

Requirements:

• DVD Drive

Getting Started

Step 1: Insert the DVD that you want to convert into your drive.

Step 2: Open WinMPG Video Convert program.

Step 3: Click on the blue arrow down button and choose DVDrip option.

Step 4: As you want to convert a DVD movie to a WMV format, then click on WMV button. Otherwise, click on the button of your desired output format.

Step 5: The program will automatically detect the DVD you inserted in the DVD drive. Click on the DVD-ROM drop down menu to choose the movie you want to convert. The default Output folder for the converted file will be saved in C:\Program Files\WinMPG VideoConvert\Converted.  You can change the Output folder by clicking on “…” button beside the Output Folder destination field and browse to the folder where you want to save the converted file.  Select the profile for the output quality by clicking on the drop down menu.

Step 6: After setting all the options above, proceed with the conversion process by clicking on the Start button. You will then see a converted file size, estimated time to finish the conversion and a meter bar that indicates the progress of the conversion process.

Step 7: When the conversion process is done it will automatically open the folder containing the converted file. Close the program and test the recently created WMV file.
