Converting video files to DVD using Super DVD Creator

In this guide, I will go through the steps on how to convert video files into DVD using Super DVD Creator so you could play them using your home DVD player or bring them with you when you travel.

Super DVD Creator is a powerful tool that could convert from a number of different video formats such as .ASF, .WMV, .AVI, .DivX, .MPEG, .XVID, .RM, .RMVB and .VOB to DVD. This tool will also allow you to create custom menus and chapters. Before you begin make sure you have all the following requirements.

Burning Requirements:

  1. DVD Burner/Writer
  2. Super DVD Creator 9.8 Software – [More Info] [Buy Now] [Download Trial]
  3. Blank DVD – choosing the right media is one of the factors that contribute to a successful DVD burning.
  4. At least 10GB of free hard disk space – temporary file storage during conversion/burning process

For system requirements and installation guide click Super DVD Creator 9.8 Installation Guide.

Getting Started

Step 1: Open Super DVD Creator 9.8 program.

Step 2: Click on DVD Disc Builder icon.

Step 3: Add the file that you want to convert or burn by clicking on the “+” button. You can add as many video clips as you want as long as it will not exceed the maximum capacity of your blank disc. If you wish to use a double layer disc (DVD-9) click on the “DVD-5” button to toggle between DVD-5 and DVD-9 media.

Step 4: If you’re done adding the movie that you want to burn click on the next button to continue to the next step which is customizing the DVD menu. If you do not wish to create a DVD menu uncheck the “Create DVD Menu” option to proceed directly to the burning process.

Step 5: Creating DVD menu.

5.1 Changing the background – you can change the background of your menu by clicking on any of the images displayed in the right side or you can browse your own photos saved in your hard drive by clicking  button.

5.2 Adding Title Text - click on  button to add a title text to the title menu then double click on the text added to edit. To delete the text just simply right click on the text and click on Delete Text.

5.3 Adding background music - click on button to add background music to your title menu. To delete the background music added click on  button.

Step 6: Burning process. After configuring all the desired settings click on the “Next” button at the bottom right of the program to proceed with the burning process.

Check all the settings if they are all correct and click on the “Start” button to start the burning process. Make sure there’s enough disk space (at least 10GB) you set for the Output Folder. If you want to change the Output Folder setting, click on button and browse for another folder. Super DVD Creator needs to save file to this folder during the conversion process. Once the burning process is done DVD will automatically be ejected. Removed the DVD and close the DVD Disc Compiler window.

If for some reasons burning will fail try to do the following:

  • close all programs and restart your PC
  • replace the blank DVD
  • repeat the whole process
  • in the final step try to lower the write speed setting

When burning is completed close the program and test the DVD if you were able to burn successfully. If you wish to burn another video file repeat all the steps from 1-6..
