How to save a DVD to ISO

An ISO image or .ISO file is a computer file that contains the entire content of a CD or DVD. It is an uncompressed archive of a CD/DVD files, also known as disk image of an optical disc. Saving a .ISO file is one way of creating an exact back up copy of your CD or DVD. This is the best way to backup bootable CDs/DVDs into your hard drive.

To create a .ISO file you need to have a software application that will open, create, edit and extract DVD image files, then convert them to an ISO file. Getting Started

Before anything else make sure that the DVD that you want to save is already inserted in your DVD drive.

Step 1: Open DVD NeXt Copy Ultimate program.

Step 2: Click on the Copy FullDVD option in the Main Menu under Copy Projects.

Step 3: Click on the drop down menus to set the Source and the Target settings. Source is your drive where you have inserted the DVD that you want to copy. Target is the location where you want to copy or the task that you want to perform, select “Copy to ISO Image” option since we wanted to save our DVD into an ISO Image.

Step 4: Click on the “Copy Now” button. It will then ask you to choose a folder where you want to save the ISO file. Browse and select your desired folder and type the File name then click on the Save button to start the copying and transcoding process.

Step 5: Copying and transcoding process. Remaining time, estimated time and elapsed time are indicated to let you know the copying progress. Wait until the process is done.

Step 6: When copying is done just click on the OK button and close the program. Check the folder if you have successfully saved an .ISO file.

If you wish to copy encrypted or copy protected DVD you will need to install a third party decrypter like DVD43. DVD43 is a software that you can download for free at dvd43.com. This software will run in the background and will do the hard work of decrypting the actual CSS encryption or copy protection of the DVD so that DVD NeXt Copy Ultimate can continue copying your DVD.
