Sometimes, we find it very necessary to extract audio tracks alone, from a DVD movie, without the pictures. Either we manipulate them for other uses or simply listen to the music of concert DVDs. This guide will show you how to easily convert DVD video to MP3 format. The DVD to MP3 convertor that you will use is the Extra DVD Ripper Express. For system requirements and installation guide, click Extra DVD Ripper Express Installation Guide. Getting Started Step 1: Insert the DVD you want to rip into your DVD drive.
Step 2: Open Extra DVD Ripper Express program.
Step 3: Click on the 3rd button in the left shown in the image below.
Step 4: Set the Output Folder parameter where you want to save the ripped files. You can leave the default setting or you can specify your own location by clicking on the browse button, and then browse to your desired folder and click OK.
Step 5: Select the output type you desire by clicking on the drop down menu for Output Profile setting. Click on the second to the last option, “iPod MP3 Audio Stereo 128kbps”.
Step 6: Click on the “Load…” button to select the source drive where the DVD disc you want to rip is inserted. Select “Open from DVD disc” option by clicking on its checkbox and then click on the drop down menu to choose the source drive. Click the OK when done.
Step 7: After clicking on the OK button, you will be returned to the main interface and the program will automatically fast forward the DVD to the main movie. A command window will then pop up to let you choose a record mode, so select your preferred record mode and click OK to start the ripping process.
Step 8: When the ripping is done just click OK to complete the process.
