How to burn 2 or more movies on a single DVD

Burning 2 or more movies on a single DVD can only be possible using a special tool like ConvertXtoDVD. This tool has the ability to automatically compress the files to fit on one single layer DVD. The DVD can then be played on your standard home DVD player or on your computer.

This is a great way of saving DVD media or just creating a compilation of your favorite movies on a single disc but this task requires a longer time to complete. The bigger the number of movies you will burn the longer the time it will take to finish and the lesser the quality you will get.

Ideal number of movies on a single disc (DVD5) could be up to 3 to still get a better video quality. This could take up to 2-3 hours of converting and burning depending on your system speed.

Step 4: Choose the type of playback you desire for your DVD. Double click on DVD Options or click on the “+” to expand DVD options.

Auto-start Playback – check this option if you wish to skip the menu and play the title immediately
Loop Playback – this is option will let your DVD play the first title again after the last title finishes playing
Play titles one after the other – this will play the titles one after the other without going back to the menu

Step 6: Click on the convert button to start the conversion process. Make sure you already have a blank DVD in your drive before starting the conversion process.

After the conversion process, convertXtoDVD will automatically detect the DVD media you have inserted in your drive and will automatically start the burning process in 10 seconds so there’s no need to click on the Burn button. But if in any case where convertXtoDVD could not detect a writable DVD on your drive try to replace the media that you have inserted with a new one then click on the drop down menu and select your DVD burner drive. It will then allow you to click on the Burn button. Just click on the burn button to start the burning process.

6.1 If you wish to burn 2 or more copies of the DVD that you have created, make sure the checkbox for “Delete DVD folder after successful burn” is uncheck to save a copy of the converted file. So when you burn the second copy you don’t need to undergo the conversion process that eats up a lot of time. Refer to the steps below on how to burn an already converted project.

When the burning process is done click on the OK button to complete the process and the DVD will automatically eject. If you follow Step 6.1 and wish to create another copy proceed to Step 7 otherwise repeat Step 1-6.

Burn an already converted project

Keeping a copy of a converted file in your hard drive specially projects like this that require a longer conversion time is a wise idea because at any time when you want to burn another copy or someone asks you to create another copy of the DVD that you have created you can just re-create it in less than 30mins unlike going to the whole process again that will take up to 2-3 hours or so depending on your system speed. So it will save you a lot of time. Here’s how to burn an already converted project:

Step 7: Insert a blank DVD into your DVD burner.

Step 8: Open convertXtoDVD program.

Step 9: Click on Action in the top menu and then select Burn an already converted project. Normally the default folder selected or highlighted is the working folder where you have saved the copy of the converted project. Just click on the folder of the project that you want to burn under the working folder.

Step 10: After selecting a project to burn a Burn DVD message window will popup with a countdown timer of 10 seconds to automatically start the burning process. Usually the default action selected is to create an ISO image on your hard disk. Quickly click on the dropdown menu and select your DVD burner drive then hit the Burn button to burn the project on the blank DVD that you have inserted.

When the burning process is done click on the OK button to complete the process and the DVD will automatically eject.
