|
Nero Burning Rom may be used to burn DVD files located in the VIDEO TS folder, which are left after utilizing programs such as DVDShrink, to a DVD+/-R.
What’s needed? Nero Burning Rom—known for its excellence in burning DVD’s
Making the DVD-Video compilation Begin by opening Nero Burning Rom in the classic mode and select DVD from the drop-down menu. Afterward, select DVD-Video as the compilation type. The DVD-Video button is above the DVD-Rom (boot) button in the new compilation menu Following this, in order to open up the DVD layout view, click the New button.
Video_TS folder Pre-authored DVD Video VOB-files are what Nero handles. MPEG-2 video files may not be added to the DVD disc. Separate authoring software must be utilized for burning other material. Be aware that some .BUP, .IFO files, and a number of 1GB .VOB files should be in the folder you wish to burn.
From the DVDVideo –window, select the VIDEO_TS folder. In order to Add files to the compilation, utilize the right mouse button. The explorer window may also be used in order to find files and drag & drop them to the VIDEO_TS folder. You must be aware that the files do not go into the root folder of the disc, but in the VIDEO_TS folder.
A maximum of 4.36GB (or 4 475MB or about 4 689 532 928 bytes ) of data may be added onto a DVD-R / DVD-RW or DVD+R / DVD+RW disc. This 4.7 GB marking on the disc refers to billions of bytes (4 700 000 000 bytes) which may not be utilized because of overhead.
By just glancing at the bottom bar placed at the edge of the Nero window you can find out if the files will fit the disc. Once you notice that the end passes the yellow lines, appearing red, you may be going too far. If it’s all blue, you’ve got nothing to worry about.
DVD Burning Here’s the part where you start burning. Begin by clicking on Recorder --> Burn Compilation (or hit CTRL+B). You can leave the default settings. Click the Burn button which is seen at the very top above the Nero Express and Cancel buttons. Reply with Burn without multisession just in case you are prompted with multisession disc burning.
There you go, you’ve got a DVD-Video disc that may be played and recognized by a stand-alone DVD-player. DVD-R / DVD-RW and DVD+R / DVD+RW disc support may vary depending on models. You may take a look at DVD player compatibility lists in order to figure out the compatibility of your own DVD player.
